A GAME OF WHIFF WHAFF ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON
SUNDAY 12/04
15:00
End: Sunday 10/05 - 20:00

At: Crib
Rue de Courtrai 53, Molenbeek

Crib asbl is a new art space fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration and the exchange of knowledge between artists, curators, researchers and the public. The opening is set on April 12th, which will also mark the opening of our first exhibition circle curated by Mey Semtati and featuring works by Sylvain Peters, Ignace Wouters, Vincent Bentolila and Elioth Joris.

Whiff-Whaff loves making art. Not to build a career or impress their peers, but for the feeling of letting go. Still, Whiff-Whaff dreads the day when they’ll find themselves going round in circles in front of a blank page. Standing before a canvas without knowing what to make it say is by far Whiff-Whaff’s greatest fear. For after all, what we expect from a work of art is to see the world through a new set of eyes. The little sensory stimuli of each and every one of us, blending together to produce something. A fascinating croûte.

Whiff-Whaff then engages with others. They share their existential questions and rediscover a form of freedom; a great round of ping-pong for the love of the game. Whiff-Whaff has invited four friends to come together to trade gifts. Every other week, over a coffee or a game, they write their names on a piece of paper and draw lots, then give each other something for the simple pleasure of having created it.
