Baba Manifesto: The Manifesto of Babaism. It is an exhibition presenting a new art movement I founded called Babaism. Babaism is an art movement that celebrates mixed-media absurdist art of the post-COVID era. Inspired by its name, just as the Dadaists responded to the absurdity of the world following events such as the First World War, the Babaists draw inspiration from the absurdity of contemporary collective traumas, including the overstimulation caused by technology. Babaism is rooted in the idea that history continually repeats itself. This is reflected in my practice through the combination of historical and contemporary techniques, such as screen printing and etching, creating a dialogue between past and present. Through distorted faces, playful colors, symbolic elements, and multimedia works, I want to capture identity in constant flux within a world of memes, overstimulation, and endless scrolling.
