Izabela Czarna is a multidisciplinary artist and crafts enthusiast, with strong interest in ecological ways of living. Having distinguished the need to grow own food as a form of critique towards corporatism, big pharma and bureaucracy, Czarna started urban gardening at the top floor of the former artist collective “Level 5” building in Koekelberg. The 5th floor terasse quickly became an oasis for local wildlife, such as bees, butterflies and crows. Since February, the eclectic artist got involved in Anderlecht casse-dalle’s garden on a regular basis. It is therefore, that she would like to propose a workshop focused around seed exchange through the creation of paper trays - with seeds and dry flowers, collected from both sides of the city.
