HOSTING BUITEN
SUNDAY 12/04
14:00
At: ex-Centrale
Place Saint-Catherine 45, 1000 Bruxelles

Sunday 12 April from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM in front of the former Centrale

Come with your artwork! Everyone is welcome.
Open-air exhibition from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

A gathering by and for artists of Brussels, aimed at advocating for access to public spaces, the preservation of artistic creation, the sustainability of the visual arts, and access to culture for everyone.

The demonstration takes place in front of La Centrale, a contemporary art venue with national and international influence that was recently closed. For 20 years, it promoted, exhibited, supported, and produced the work of many emerging and established artists. Together with and for its audiences, it organized thousands of events, guided tours, workshops, performances, talks, and more, welcoming hundreds of thousands of visitors in the heart of Brussels while championing the values of inclusivity and sustainability on a daily basis.

The gathering pays tribute to it under the name "Hosting Buiten," in reference to its major group exhibition "Hosting" of 2024–2025, which celebrated the welcoming of artists and audiences and marked the reopening of the venue after a year of renovations, through a broad open call inviting anyone living or working in the Brussels region to participate.
