Galerie Vertige is a unique place—a bridge between the psychiatric world and the outside world, a link between different forms of artistic creation.
Located at the heart of the C.R.I.T. (Psychosocial Rehabilitation Center) and open to the public, Galerie Vertige is entirely run by a group of patients, with the support of therapists and professionals from the art world. The "Gallery Committee,” the first of its kind, bases its selection not only on the artistic merit of the work but also on the quality of human relationships—not on the length of one’s résumé.
At Vertige, we therefore feature both professional and amateur artists, depending on the case.
With a solo exhibition organized every three months and an annual (themed) group exhibition, Galerie Vertige creates a dynamic and enriching environment: we aim to go beyond the framework of the psychiatric world or associations, and to bring together a wider audience interested above all in this alternative approach to contemporary art.
