LAGE EGAL (= LOCATION DOESN’T MATTER) was founded by Pierre Granoux in 2019 as the outcome of years spent navigating the edges of the art world through underground practice and curatorial experimentation. Operating as a nomadic platform between Berlin and Brussels (from 2024), this French artist-run initiative rejects the conventional boundaries of the gallery model. Instead, it embraces mobility, flexibility, and context as integral parts of its curatorial language.
LAGE EGAL presents a rigorous program of exhibitions that question institutional hierarchies while remaining accessible and inclusive. Its projects—often duo or small group shows—are conceived as precise curatorial dialogues, where each space is intentionally chosen to amplify the conceptual and spatial dimensions of the works on view.
By fostering encounters between generations and backgrounds, LAGE EGAL cultivates a fertile ground for new artistic resonances. Its approach is both experimental and deeply human, revealing how art can continuously reconfigure itself beyond fixed locations, through the energy of collaboration and the critical engagement of its participants.
