Espace Vanhomwegen is happy to welcome you to the new exhibition of 𝑆̮̑𝑎̮̑𝑚̮̑𝑢̮̑𝑒̮̑𝑙̮̑ 𝑇̮̑𝑟̮̑𝑒̮̑𝑛̮̑𝑞̮̑𝑢̮̑𝑖̮̑𝑒̮̑𝑟̮̑.

Samuel Trenquier, born in 1983 in Libreville (Gabon), lives and works in Brussels. A multidisciplinary artist, his work moves between drawing, sculpture, and textiles, with a pronounced taste for color. Through his works, he paints the portrait of an ideal garden, set within a forest of pre-existing signs that he meticulously carves to extract choice fragments and nurture a certain ecology of forms. His project 𝗡𝗢𝗢𝗗𝗨𝗜𝗧𝗚𝗔𝗡𝗚 — literally "emergency exit" — presents itself as a beautiful escape. Balancing rigor and spontaneity, it invites viewers on a motionless journey where every detail, every nuance contributes to the harmony of a fragile whole.
